Day 1

Miami, FL

After waiting close to an hour because we in Miami early we finally got on the ship. From the pier, the ship looked massive. Our rooms weren’t ready so we made a beeline to the buffet. We were hungry because we started our day at 6:30am. There’s 2 buffets, one on the 16th floor and one on the 8th FL. I had a veggie burger.

Our rooms were finally. My mom helped me unpack, she complained the room

And closets were too small. I thought the rooms were fine because all I was going is sleep in the room.

I went to the teen club and I liked how they had a lot games and activities for the teens like PlayStation, wii, and board games. My favorite game was Uno.ace00989f15d87f5da2cbb39c9d488d7.jpg

That’s Monique and I. She was one of the teen directors and was super sweet.

Like every cruise I’ve been on, we had to go to the safety drill. Make sure you go because they scan your card. My grandma got a letter the next day because they thought she didn’t go, but she was next to me!

Our dinner was at the early seating, that was too early for me. I felt like it was rushed, because there’s 3 seating for dinner.

Here’s my dinner:

Day 1 continued

We walked around at the sail away.

After dinner, we went to see the first show. It was good, not too long. The cruise director was fat and funny. My grandparents who has been on over 80 cruises thought the shows on the Seaside were good.

Day 2

Seaday

I woke up and had breakfast with the family. I got dragged to the port shopping talk by my mom-I was not overly thrilled. The only thing I found interested was that there was a water taxi from the pier to Phillipsburg for $7 round trip.

Since it was boring, I went to the teen center and participated in the scavenger hunt, then lunch.

The best part of the buffet on the ship was the pizza, especially the pepperoni pizza.

Here’s my dinner:

I didn’t like the asparagus soup because it had tapioca in it

I got a Miami Vice drink, it was good.

Salmon was good.

Chocolate cake was excellent.

Again, the show was good.

Afterwards, I went to the teen center for games. The buzzer game was a lot of fun.

I go in trouble tonight because I didn’t go home till 1am. My parents waited up for me because I didn’t check in and they were worried. I met some friends and all we did was go up and down the elevator.

Day 3

Another Sea Day

I went to the Cruise Critic party with my parents. I was a little disappointed because they didn’t do a raffle like they do on Royal Caribbean with fun prizes. But they did have better snacks:

I was surprised the captain was at the party:

My grandpa like the mango crumble was the best. I had the warm chocolate cake which was similar to the ins in the main dining room

Day4 Phillipsburg, St Maarten

Yeah, our first island! We all had breakfast together at the buffet. By the way, the buffets are separated into different sections, make sure you check it all out, the hash are good, they taste like the ones from McDonald’s which I like. I also like the blueberry muffins.

Afterwards, we separated, my broth, grandfather and parents went in a helmet diving excursion. I didn’t want to go so I went with my grandmother and her friends on a city tour around the whole island. My grandmother negotiated with the people holding up signs to take us around us around the island for $25 each person. They took us in a small van, they told us some history like the French side is where the rich people live and the Dutch side is where the poor people lived. The French side was prettier. Some places were still damaged by the hurricane. We went to Orient Beach where they had ice people, but nothing was that attractive there. Then we stopped at a casino, be sure to use the bathrooms there because it’s cleaner and other places cost money and are run down.

After 3.5 hours, we went back for lunch.

If I may ask, what were the age groupings in the teen club? My 13 yr old daughter is wondering if she'll be with all the older (16/17) yr olds or in a separate group of teens her age?

My 12 year brother was in the same group but the 12-14 in a subgroup, 15-18 in another, It’s not really separated clearly. We did most activities together.

Day 4 St. Maarten continued

I ran into my parents in the lunch buffet. I had 2 plates of salad. The salads are fresh on this ship. I also like the desserts, my favorite was the fruit tarts. They have them at every buffet except breakfast.

I went back to the cabin for a nap and played trivia.

The dinner buffet was good that night, I had fish and pizza.

The evening show was called the Wizard, with music from Harry Potter and the Greatest Showman. Again, the cruise director came out before and after the show, he’s very entertaining!

The Jungle pool was my parents’ favorite pool, they liked to go there because it’s warm and had more shade

Day 5 San Juan, PR continued

I felt San Juan was cleaner than Phillipsburg. I ran into my parents for lunch, my mom did most of her shopping in San Juan.

For dinner that evening, we went to the French restaurant called Le Bestrot Le Boheme which overlooked the atrium and had good music.

The waiter was excellent and gave me extra side of green beans.

Here’s what we ate:
