I got a comp offer a few years ago for the Beach Bash. Now my play is much higher but I only got a $250 off offer. No thanks.

I got that offer as well. How did you determine the $ off from the offer.

I got an email just a few minutes ago for comp cruises including several with balcony offers.

This is really strange that y'all are only getting $-off discounts on the Beach Bash cruise given your levels of play.

In comparison, I was offered a complimentary balcony cabin. I don't think my play is that significantly higher than all of yours (or necessarily any higher at all).

Ironically, I had a Free inside stateroom offer for Oasis August 2nd, which I had to cancel due to family member health issues. I figured I would be getting another offer for a free similar cruise through Royale. Guess I was wrong. Hope one comes. But, I do have a COMPLETELY FREE, balcony on MSC Seaside through URComped scheduled for October. It was a free "Bella Inside", that was upgraded by MSC to a "Fantastica Balcony" cabin on the 14th Deck. No taxes, no fees whatsoever. $200/person deposit, which becomes on-board credit once we board. And, free drinks in the casino. I'll just use my OBC towards a drink package for the week, I guess. MSC might be my "New" gambling ship.

Awesome, I just signed up for that website and already have received some amazing comped offers. Thanks to my play on RCI. I say it again, HR Tampa just doesn't have a decent loyalty program for the amount of play.

My guess is that it is a tier level thing. Before we were officially in separate tiers, they were offering comps that were somewhat arbitrary but now that we have been segregated I imagine that the Primes are all only being offered -$250 on these pre-planned events.

To add a completely new wrinkle to this (well, not so new really, I guess) it seems that points really do not count for everything. We do a lot of 5 night Bermuda trips out of Baltimore b/c we can drive to the port and it only requires us to take 2 days of vacation if it is over a holiday week. We were on one over the 4th of July. The 5-nighters make it particularly difficult to accumulate big points so at the end of that cruise, despite the fact that we play nearly every minute that the casino was open, I had only accumulated 1100 points. ...but to my great surprise, I was awarded a free balcony certificate which normally requires a minimum of 3600 points. I asked the hostess about it and she told me that it was b/c of my losses. Of course, that's not something that I'm particularly proud of, but it's the truth. I estimate that I probably lost $3500-$4000. So despite the fact that my points were very minimal, they factor in losses as well. I had heard of this on other cruise lines but I didn't really think that Royal was doing it. Apparently I was wrong. Some will say that I simply pre-paid my comp with losses in the casino and that's a fair assessment. My point in telling this [somewhat humiliating] story is that points alone do not tell the entire story when it comes to comps.

Not to whine about it, but I know that we table players just don't get the points that the slots players get. It's just a fact. It won't alter my gambling, as I loathe slots but we will never get the playback that you big slotters get. More power to ya' !!

It just says in email $250 off

Marc- I think I cruise so much, perhaps they think they don’t NEED to give me good offers!

Yes I’m Signature but I still get poor offers. My dad who hasn’t cruised in 18 months constantly gets free offers sent to my email.

I think you might be right. I'm signature also, cruise about 8-10 times a year, mostly on 10-12 night cruises. My offer for the Beach Bash was only for $100 off. I haven't gotten any other offer in almost a year.

I sail solo, and my Signature offer for booking an extra cabin for friend or family has saved them some. Usually about $150 off. Used it 3 times already.

Received this offer via email first and then snail mail a week later for an inside cabin. I am signature. I cruised in April and May (with signature benefits) for a b2b2b2b. Start again the end of August into September and then in October into November. Just love the comps!!

Here is a snapshot of my offer. Doesn’t give a $ amount. Casino Rate has been significantly higher than $100 and $250. We only stay in GS.

I still receive nothing. No email, no snail mail.

Just got the Beach Bash snail mail. First of anything in the mail. I’m signature and only got $100 off. Yeah, right.

I earned 4200 pts on slots, HOURS and hours at the blackjack table on the Oasis, July 8th.

Lost a good bit of money.

They only gave me an ocean view.

Well I’m going to basically stop playing ($100 per cruise, no more) and maybe see if they give me better offers.

I’m over 17,000 points on Slots since April 1st. I probably won’t make signature next year unless they give me a ton of points for all the hours of the blackjack table.

Oh well. Their loss. I’ll be Pinnacle before the end of the year.

They should treat their Diamond plus and pinnacle members better.

I’m going to turn in to one of those pinnacle members that books insides only and spend zero dollars unless I’m scuba diving I’ll get a balcony.

Hey Nick,

AC, $13 part.

Can’t wait to play roulette with you and Barbara!

If you’re not going to come up to PC Anytime in the next 10 months, let me know what ship next summer you will be on.

I am not sure about the tier stuff, both my wife and I are signature and are on track to be the same again next year. She received a 500 off offer for the beach bash, and I received a free balcony. I am thinking it might be more of a win/loss during this year. Regretfully I have lost more than her (lots).

We can't take the offer up because of all the things going on around the holidays this year.

I just got the beach bash offer. I am prime tier.. Card states $750.00 off your choice of stateroom. Surprised at that amount since I'm not a big gambler and I think there are higher rollers than me that have said they didn't get as much. Unfortunately none of the sailing dates (6 in total) work for us.

The card I received in the mail has $100 off choice of cabin on the inside. I'd love to know how they figure who gets what. I would think someone that was Signature would get more off that someone that is Prime. $100 is a joke.

"Marketing laws" don't stop all the hotels I've ever stayed in stateside from sensing me offers, or all the travel agencies or all the casinos sending me offers so I don't see how they can blame that. Surely all they'd have to do is get us to send them authorisation to email us?

I’m Signature as well and haven’t received anything; no recent offers at all. I’ve been on only one carnival cruise more than 7 years ago and I just received a $500 off offer from their casino program. Anewbie to Royal Caribbean posted that after one cruise, offered for free because he is an MLife member, he received an offer in the mail for a free cruise in a junior suite. He said that on his cruise, he didn’t spend a lot of time on the casino.

It must be true that they think they don’t have to send us offers for our loyalty. It’s very frustrating.

That’s how it is sadly. They don’t need to give us loyal cruisers any great offers cause they know we are already gambling a lot. It’s the same with other companies like cable TV. They have to give the best offers to non costumers to attract new business. Meanwhile the loyal customers don’t get squat cause they are already subscribers.

Nick, I think you are correct. I received $500 off for the Beach Bash and get offers for Jr. Suites quite often. I am Prime and my level of play when I cruise is high, but due to the fact that I am able to only cruise Once or twice a year, it is unlikely I will reach the next level. I think due to my level of play, I may be getting more offers so that i would cruise more.
