Is there a motel/hotel that has a airport shuttle to the hotel and then to the port? I am looking for a friend and they need some help. She is willing to have to pay a small fee but there are 5 adults and 3 children and trying to keep the cost down. She would like it be free if possible.

You may want to call some of the pre-cruise hotels listed below and ask them about any packages with transport.

For me, I have decided to stay in the Quality Inn in Gretna which offers a free shuttle to/from the boat, free parking and free shuttle to the ferry which takes you to the French Quarter.

I know of no hotels that offer complimentary limo service to downtown hotels.

If there are 8 of you. You are most likely looking at 3 cabs when you take your luggage into consideration.

I have posted before that even though I live here, I use a limo company to transport to downtown hotels and the port when we have 6+ plus of us.

Check these guys out.

I have recommended them to others and this is who I use. If you have them send a mini bus for 8 plus luggage, you are looking at around $100.00.

I would look into the reviews for the Quality Inn in Gretna before I booked there! Your choice of course, but it looks pretty grim.

Also, the ferry does not take you to the French Quarter, it takes you to the end of Canal Street, a significant difference.
