Does Celebrity offer anything similar to the Princess Bon Voyage Experience?

For $39 you are allowed on the ship as first in line. Then you get a ship tour, photo, MDR lunch with wine, the $39 is applied to a new booking if you make one and you are off by 3PM. You can only book by calling - not available online.

This doesn’t make any sense.

You pay $39 and are first in line to get on the ship for your voyage. You can then apply the $39 to a new booking if you are off the ship by 3 PM? What day? And how can everyone be first in line?

I am sure everyone would be off the ship by 3 PM on the last day so it almost seems like a no brained to book it as the perks more than add up to $39 and then it is applied to a new cruise.

If it is any other day than the last day why would you pay $39 to leave early on a cruise that is fully paid for?

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

YOU misunderstand, it is not related to a voyage. Its a half-day tour of the ship. Theres no voyage involved. Potential passengers can come aboard, have a tour and a meal, and then leave before the ship sails

I have never heard of this on Celebrity. The only people I know of who have come aboard and had lunch prior to sailing (and then leave) are travel agents.

Bon Voyage Experience is discussed periodically on Cruise Critic's Princess sub-forum... You'll find an explanation here...

Celebrity does not offer a comparable program...

In the UK have done both Royal Caribbean and Celebrity day visits to ships, but there was no charge the visits were organised by our TA. We also did an overnight sail on Equinox just before her first fare paying'Maiden' cruise again it was complimentary.

Are you up to speed now on how the program works? It’s a great program, good only at US ports of embarkation and you exit at 3:00pm prior to muster starting.

Its an excellent Bon Voyage Experience, family joined us when we were leaving from NY. They loved it, had never been on a ship so it was a good experience. Had tour, photo, lunch with wine and got to be with us till 3 pm.

On one of our past Royal Cruises.....they had a huge group of trvl agents...They boarded while everyone else waited...things got very backed up..not a great idea overall unless only a few are included,

The tour experience sounds nice but the Concierge lunch for actual passengers is a better idea. I know folks have enjoyed it but there's too much going on already on departure day...

Isn’t there an opportunity for them to book a future cruise whilst onboard too?
