Emerald balcony question

On the Emerald Princess...

Caribe balconies are half covered, half open.

All aft balconies are fully covered. (And I mean TRULY aft, NOT near the aft of the ship)

The mini suites on Dolphin are totally open.

(Not sure about the upper decks because we never stay there but Greg seems to know)

As mentioned above, Deck 10 (Caribe Deck) has balconies that are half-covered/half-uncovered. This gives flexibility to be in the sun or the shade (depending on the angle of the sun and the side of the ship relative to the sun) as well as partial protection from weather and from being viewed from above. Also, the balconies on Caribe Deck are quite a bit larger than the "regular" balconies. We love the Caribe balconies.
