Ocho Rios versus Mahogany Bay

We are looking at cruise that has Mahogany Bay as one of the ports of call. We have been to Ocho Rios twice and are not impressed at all. Is MB similar to OR? Or is it a lot cleaner, nicer, safer?

Would you choose an itinerary that included MB or would you side with one that had Cabo and Mazatlon?

Mahogany Bay is in Roatan. Is that what you are asking about? Roatan is awesome, and the port is clean and has a nice free beach, shopping area. Roatan is a port with lots of excursions but nothing right outside the port. Safe, heck yeah, unless you get drunk and wander into back streets at night...similar to any destination in the world.

Wow...two different oceans to consider.

We are usually in the Caribbean, so MB is definitely the choice.

If you were not impressed with Ocho Rios, I doubt you would be by Montego Bay. If you have the time, check out Seven Mile Beach in Negril (easily accessible from Mo Bay). It is lovely.
