Wouldn't you know it....our timing is off by THAT much!! My husband is a lifelong Yankees fan and I'm a lifelong Astros fan. Last night, our teams fates were sealed and they are headed for an epic showdown during our cruise, which starts Saturday. That said, does anyone know if Regal Princess has any way of broadcasting these games - whether in our cabins or on public televisions? Yes, I know we are on vacation - but we have always dreamed of this matchup being that we are on polar opposite ends of the fandom spectrum. And sports is still fun while on vacation. With this cruise leaving out of Brooklyn, I would think that there would be some interest onboard. That all said - let me just say - GO ASTROS!!!!!

Since they show NFL regular season and playoffs, IDK why they wouldn't have the baseball playoffs. Check MUTS schedule when you get on board. See Patter.

We have cruised twice in October now, and both time "Most" of the baseball playoff games were shown on MUTS. A couple times the NFL game was played over the baseball playoffs, but most times, baseball was on.

On our cruises, the baseball games were not shown on our in room TVs (at least that I could find), but there was usually an area like Churchill's or somewhere that was playing the game if it was not on the big screen. I just don't like the smoke so I didn't watch the entire game at Churchills.

All of that said. never assume any given live entertainment program will be available. 3 things need to happen...

1> The satellite provider has to carry it.
2> The cruise line has to buy it. These are not always cheap.
3> The signal has to be strong enough.

For a marquis event like the Superbowl or WS #s 1 and 2 are almost a given, ALCS less so but probable. But #3 is always a risk.

Ditto. There is a likely chance.

Two years ago I was on the Crown. The division and league championship series games were shown on the stateroom televisions, but at least twice it required calling down to the PSD desk and reminding them to flip the switch or whatever is required to turn them on. The World Series games were shown on MUTS except the last game. That was a Sunday and football took precedence. After many, many complaints they finally showed it in Explorers. If you really want to see the games, you may have to keep after them because baseball did not seem to be a very high priority.

We saw the wild card games last week on the Emerald. They were broadcast in the casino and one of the games was broadcast each night on the room TVs. I would be stunned if they didn't show the ALCS and NLCS games in the rooms on the ship.
