For those who have sailed out of the Brooklyn Port a quick question.

Does the ship leave southward toward St. George Terminal leaving the area?

Not sure what you're really asking. Are you asking if they go out through the Narrows and under the Verrazano Bridge as opposed to up the East River and Long Island Sound? They go out the Narrows. I think they would have extreme clearance issues with the East River.

St. George Terminal is an odd landmark to use for a question as most people here will have no idea what it is.

If you mean the Staten Island St George yes it does. Governors Island on the Starboard side then she turns out toward the VN bridge passing the Statue of Liberty also on the Starboard side, then under the bridge.

thanks for the quick response.

just wanted to make sure that we were on the right side to see the Statue of Liberty as we pass from our balcony.

Yes the State of Liberty will be on the starboard side when sailing from Brooklyn.

Would suggest better viewing of the entire sail away from the deck.

Yes, that is the only way out. There are too many bridges that modern ships would not fit under to go out to the Long Island Sound.

with a 5pm sailaway, what time will the regal generally start boarding if there are no delays? that being said, whats the magical time to get to the pier? and order of boarding for the non special groups? are there numbers etc.
