I have bottled water ordered to be delivered to my cabin on my upcoming Regal cruise and I enjoy adding Crystal Light flavors to my water. I wondered if anyone has ever traveled with Crystal Light Drink Powder Packets? I want to bring the little powder sleeves that are the perfect mix for the 16.9 bottles of water. I am wondering if it's a bad idea to fly with Crystal Light Powder in my checked bag and then go through ship security. I certainly don't need flavored water bad enough to have security issues. Does anyone know if you can buy it on the ship? I never thought to look for it on past cruises. This is the first time I ordered the bottles of water. Thank you in advance for your comments.

I have never seen it on a ship. Just a guess, but I can't see why it would be an issue for you to bring it on board. Probably in your checked bag would be best.

I've never flown with them, but I have certainly brought them onto the ship in Ft Lauderdale a couple times in the past with no issues. Am leaning toward saying they were in my carry-on rather than checked bag but not entirely sure.

And speaking of Crystal Light: back in the days that the pitcher-sized tubs came in a cylindrical plastic tube that held six of them, I would use those tubes to bring a few scoops of powdered laundry detergent to use on board. Not recommended now, especially if flying to the port.

Debarking is a cruel procedure done to dogs.
Upgrades, Upsellls and Move Over Offers are completely different things.
As are being denied boarding and being disembarked early.
And don't get me started on Port Charges vs. Government Taxes, Fees, and Port Expenses.
The Jones Act is for cargo. The PVSA is "that terrible law" that restricts USA domestic sailings. But without which there would likely be no cruise ships with casinos, duty free shops, and international crew members willing to work fantastically hard every single day.
Lots of people fly in the morning of the cruise and catch crazy early flights home. Why ask us if you can? Just to be harassed by the regulars?
No hotels have free shuttles, free breakfast, free wifi, or free parking. You pay in the rate. And could have found a better deal paying by the piece.
And don't forget: the cruise line is in complete control of the weather, political unrest, medical emergencies, and anything else that delays or re-routes your cruise. Be sure to demand compensation as it is you and only you who were affected.

I fly with my True Lemon/Lime packets all the time - it helps me drink the amount of water I need. Also I cant think of 1 reason why someone would stop you from bringing this on the cruise - there is literally no valid reason.

cant imagine it would be a problem in a checked bag. in a carryon you would definitely have to pull it out of the bag when going thru airport security. i got pulled out of security for leaving granola bars in my carryon a few weeks ago and they had to hand-check my bag.

I think it’s fine. My friend always brings the Starbucks coffee little pkgs. That you just add water to. She just likes it much better then the coffee you get on the ship. Is there any difference??

Why would it be an issue getting Crystal Light through airport security or on the ship? It's not crystal meth. As a matter of fact many travel with prescription drugs without issue. I travel with Mio or 4C's flavor enhancer which is a liquid I add to water and I never had an issue on flights or ships. I prefer the liquid over the powder because you can adjust the amount you need to the size of the water bottle.

I bring them with me. Just put them in a ziplock sandwich bag. No problem.

My husband has brought these with him before. No problems. He didn't use them much though--lots of free lemonade and juices, and he doesn't usually have anything in the cabin.

It is not a banned liquid or alcohol... Should be no problem.

But, sorry, I just can't help myself.... Not trying to offend anyone or start anything... Nobody should be putting those toxic chemicals into their body.

Well, I agree, and have you tasted the stuff? It's so horrible that when I accidently take a taste of husbands, thinking it's water, I have to spit it out. But he is kind of addicted--tries to quit it at times and always starts in again. Glad I love plain water!

We've done it several times and have gone on cruises with only carry on luggage before. Never once have we been checked for this before. We also take those little Via Starbucks packets in our carry on .. again, never ever had an issue!

Yes! Let's get back to getting one's money's worth out of an alcohal package!

I have brought crystal light. It always seemed like a great idea at home.
Less of a good idea once on the ship.

DW always brings along lots of Crystal Lite packs. We generally pack them in checked luggage (inside a baggie) but sometimes we might carry a few in our carry-on so she can mix some drinks before we get our checked luggage. Have never had a problem with TSA.
