Remember to follow the signs on the road.

British Isle 2017-229.jpg

We rode to Tube to Tower Hill station so that we could start our day at the Tower of London.

British Isle 2017-027.jpg

If your going to the Tower of London than make sure your are there early to avoid the lines.

British Isle 2017-292.jpg

We followed Rick Steves advice and made a beeline to the crown jewels and then returned to this spot on the left for the Beefeater tour.

This is one of the Beefeater tours at the Traitor’s Gate.

British Isle 2017-325.jpg

This place gets crowded fast. Make sure to give yourself enough time, you could spend most of the day here.

The White Tower.

British Isle 2017-304.jpg

There is a large and entertaining armor collection in the White Tower.

Out London Passes included a ride on one of the City Cruises river tours.

I found the streets in London much more interesting then the Streets in San Francisco. They were definitely much cleaner and orderly. I hope to return soon.

British Isle 2017-402-Edit.jpg

We had dinner at Ye Grapes our last night in Shepard’s Market and then we proceeded to Prince Of Wales Theatre to Watch The Book Of Mormon.

This is the extent of our pre cruise activities, I hope you enjoyed them.

Great pictures! We did the British Isles Cruise two years ago in May and it was our favorite cruise too! Loved every port and really fell in love with Scotland. I could easily do a back to back on this itinerary because of the port intensive nature of it. So much to see and do in each port.

We used the Princess transfer from the Victoria Coach Station to get to the ship.

Sailing away.

British Isle 2017-435.jpg

We arrived in Guernsey early before most of the people came ashore. We had no problem getting onto one of the early tenders even though we didn’t have a Princess excursion booked.

Castle Cornet. We had this mostly to ourselves being early off the ship.

British Isle 2017-038.jpg

We booked a photography tour with Guernsey Photo Tours. http://www.guernseyphototours.com/ Our guide Mark was extremely knowledgable about the history of the island and had very good photography tips on this tour. Highly recommend. The rest of our Guernsey pictures were all taken on this tour.

The tender ride back to the ship. the weather was changing.

Back on board we had dinner at Sabatini’s and really liked the changes to the menu. The presentation of the deserts always inspire a photograph.

Cruising into Cobh is very scenic.

Our chariots await. We had booked the cruise excursion tour with Paddwagon Tours. https://www.paddywagontours.com/Shor...Cork-City-Tour They did a decent job in taking us around and letting us decide how we wanted to spend our time at the sites. We were late getting into port so our schedule was adjusted, Paddywagon Tours did fine with this. There never really is enough time.

untitled shoot-532.jpg

Our first stop was at Charles Fort. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Fort_(Ireland) We had 10 minutes to get off the bus and snap a couple of photos. I think I would have wanted to spend more time here then walking around the shops on Kinsale.

After Kinsale we headed to Blarney for the castle and more shopping/wandering.

We arrived at Blarney Castle in the afternoon. We had around 90 minutes to do what we wanted. Since the wait to kiss the Blarney stone was an hour we chose to walk the grounds which were fabulous.

The streets of Dublin were definitely entertaining.

British Isle 2017-424.jpg

Lots of great architecture also.

British Isle 2017-429.jpg

Ne’er do wells might be here.

British Isle 2017-443.jpg

I’ve really been into street photography lately but you can probably tell.

British Isle 2017-445-Edit.jpg

Our first day in Dublin was on a Sunday and I was wondering what ever will we do. Lucky for us we found rural pub tours to save the day. https://ruraltours.ie/ We met Shane with Rural Pub Tours and off we went on our liquid adventure. First stop was the Merry Ploughboy Pub.
