Also, it would matter if they were clip on vs. buttons, not many individuals, myself excluded, would have buttons on trousers to accommodate braces, as it were,,,

That would be memorable and something which they most likely would not purchase on their own either...

I would most likely return home a single man were I to ask or go on a NYE sailing... once a year is the max, at the moment...

Love the idea, but my husband would not go along with this...At best he'll wear a sailaway tee shirt if our roll call gets them.

We will look for you anyhow... we usually walk off early as we can but have no idea how things will flow on EDGE. We'll have a better idea after our January cruise and will report back.

Braces (UK)use leather or cloth straps to attach them to buttons sewn on the inside of the trouser waist.

Suspenders, on the other hand, can be fastened with metal clips.

Suspenders are worn by ladies worn with stockings. From my studies of adult American literature you call them a garter belt?

Braces are what are depicted above worn by men to keep trousers in place.

Garters are worn my men in the main to keep socks up

USA and Britain truly are two countries separated by a common language!

Any sign of port side photos of the ship.... without the curtains? Hoping to see more cabins... And hopefully there will be more info on the public areas coming soon. Five months until the Dec 16 sailing.... can't wait.

Any idea approximately when the ship will be ready to sail? I know that the first cruises are scheduled for early December, but I "assume" the ship will be ready before then.

Looking forward to Celebrating New Year's and the following week on the Edge. Thanks
