So you made a lot of relatively small tips. How did you get the small bills? Can you ask the currency exchange for a bunch of singles?

Fathom suggests 5 CUCs pp for lunch tips when off the ship, 10 CUCs pp for guide that stays with you all day, 5 CUCs pp for bus driver, 3-4 CUCs pp for guide who shows you sites at various stops.

CUCs are Cuba foreigner money. I just called them $ as they are about 1CUC for $1.

The money is handed to you packaged in bundles already. You can ask for smaller if you like.

And the bundles contain smaller bills? I'm just concerned about having 50s or 100s in my pocket when needing a single or a 5.

There were no 50s or 100s. 20 was the largest. You can ask for smaller I'm pretty sure. You sure don't want to deal with anything larger than a 20.

I have a question about the ship. How is the temperature on the ship? Are the dining rooms freezing? So many ships keep their dining rooms like a refrigerator. Just wondering if I need to wear a sweater or light jacket in the evenings to dinner to keep warm!
Thanks,

Marion

The inside temperature on the ship is comfortable. I'd bring a wrap/pashmina just in case you chill easily. I found I need a wrap more for the plane ride to Miami.
Although we mostly ate outside, where it was balmy and comfortable.

Thanks. We usually eat in the MDR and they can be downright chilly. The outdoor dining is outside the buffet on the Lido deck, right?

Yes, its buffet dining, outside.
I didn't notice any cool temperatures on the ship. We went to the bars, and lectures, and it wasn't cool anywhere, not warm, either.
To be safe, bring a sweater, I always run warm.

Nose in. Port has a lovely view of an old, somewhat falling in terminal and Starboard has a lovely view of the in-use terminal. The city is in front of the ship.

I run warm too. But they did note in the Curzon Lounge that the Starboard side seemed to be a bit cooler than the Port side. I was personally fine on either.

I never saw a name. It seemed like there was only one that was big enough for cruise ships. It was right across from one of the plazas.

Yes we did and I hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we did. I was quite surprised that the food was so good. The buffet didn't have any carving station but their Cuban dishes were really delicious and I made certain I tried everything they were serving. I wish they were continuing their cruises to Cuba I would love to go back again next year on the Adonia.

I didn't keep one, everyone went off on their own to explore so if needed I am certain I can write something up. I am not worried about it and neither was anyone else. I keep all the information the ship gave us and that's what I will present if ever asked what we did in Cuba.
