Silversea July 18 Alaska Cruise

My wife and I are taking our first SS cruise in July to Alaska. Any recommendations on excursions, dinner attire, wine selections, weather expectations, etc.? Since we are newbies we appreciate all the advice we can get! Any good restaurants in Vancouver as we will be there 4 days prior to embarkation.

Hello Zimmer - Looks like we're shipmates. To address one of your questions (and though there are lots of comments and threads on this site about attire, esp formal), I just thought I'd note for your wife's benefit that even on "informal" nights on SS, the ladies especially seem to want to take another opportunity to 'gussy up.' So leaning towards the 'dressier side of informal' is not likely to be a mistake. I hope your other questions - re weather/excursions/Vancouver sites & dining, etc - draw some responses, as we'll certainly learn from them as well!
