Dear Travel Partner,

Allure of the Seas is undergoing an extended renovation which means, we must regrettably cancel your clients' sailing. We know this news is disappointing and apologize for the impact to their vacation.

We want every aspect of their vacation to be enjoyable. So, we've put together some alternate options that we hope they will take advantage of.

Option 1: Re-book one of the following 2020 sailings

Oasis of the Seas

  • Mar. 22nd or Apr. 5th cruise departing from Miami, Florida, sailing to Labadee, Haiti | Falmouth, Jamaica | Cozumel, Mexico.
  • Mar. 29thor Apr. 26thcruise departing from Miami, Florida, sailing to Philipsburg, St. Maarten | San Juan, Puerto Rico | Labadee, Haiti.
  • Apr. 12th cruise departing from Miami, Florida, sailing to Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas | San Juan, Puerto Rico| Labadee, Haiti.

Harmony of the Seas

  • Apr. 12th cruise departing from Orlando, Florida, sailing to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas | Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico| Roatan, Honduras | Cozumel, Mexico.
  • Apr. 19th cruise departing from Orlando, Florida, sailing to Philipsburg, St. Maarten | San Juan, Puerto Rico | Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas.

Whether they're beach bums, divers, foodies, or golfers, there's a Caribbean island for all guests! Have them try something new and check it off their bucket list. We are sure they'll find their perfect getaway!

  • Their original stateroom category will be price protected at the original cruise fare rate, excluding taxes, fees, gratuities and other non-cruise fare items.
  • And they'll receive a credit to spend onboard per stateroom:
  • $200 for Interior, Ocean View and Balcony staterooms | $400 for Suites
  • Plus, an additional $50 for each third or more guest to spend onboard
  • Your commission will be protected plus you will receive $50 in bonus commission.

Option 2: Re-book any other Royal Caribbean sailing and receive the following credits to spend onboard per stateroom:

  • $200 for Interior, Ocean View and Balcony staterooms | $400 for Suites
  • Plus, an additional $50 for each third or more guest to spend onboard
  • Your commission will be protected.

Option 3: If your clients choose to cancel, we'll be sad to see them go

  • We will process a full refund of any paid portion of their cruise fare to the original form of payment, including any non-refundable deposit. Please note, if they choose this option, we will not provide any additional compensation, including air reimbursement.
  • And your commission will be protected if the booking is paid in full only.

It's important to us that your clients find the best vacation option. One of our destination experts will call you starting September 25th to help find their perfect cruise. If we happen to miss you, please call us by October 9th, 2018 at 888-281-9344. If we haven't heard from you by Oct 9th, their reservation will be cancelled.

Please note, unnamed groups with no payment applied will not qualify for the alternate options provided.

Lastly, any pre-paid amenities, packages, or shore excursions will be refunded to the original form of payment within 7-10 business days.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We hope your clients find another cruise vacation with us. Whether they are celebrating a special occasion or looking to explore, relax, and recharge - we have no doubt their time with us will be nothing short of amazing. We look forward to welcoming them onboard.

Sincerely,

Royal Caribbean International

There is speculation that the May 9, 2019 harmony is now chartered and will be cancelled for passengers. No word from Rccl even though it is year prior to this allure cancellation.

Marci I was wondering if you had seen that. We are on the May 6th sailing and the only cabins available are suites which I also find out 7+ months out. I though the sailing on the 9th might have been sod out

The 6th could be a partial charter. It has categories showing as waitlisted as opposed to closed which is what other charter sailings have shown.

The 9th does not even exist in the travel agent site.

Yup got it also for my sister's cruise. But they already decided on Harmony 4/12.

This ship has been "closed" for 6 months already for the entire month of April 2020. Knew it was going to drydock but had to wait for the "official" paperwork so I could tell them there choices and make sure they got their $200 OBC. So all changed and they are good.

My wife, me and a long time friend of my wife were booked on the Allure for the 4/26/2020 sailing. We got the email this morning informing us that RCI was cancelling that cruise because of the extended dry dock. Just moved the booking to Oasis of the Seas for the same date. We got $450 OBC because of the inconvenience factor. Of course my wife and her friend are very happy about the OBC.

Thanks for posting this. I had a B2B booked on Allure and one of my 2 weeks was now cancelled. I called and was able to move both weeks to the Oasis. The letters that went out were for the April 2020 sailings, but any sailing after March 15, 2020 is included in this redeployment and dry dock.

Thanks - About three weeks ago we received a postcard from the casino desk and one of the cruises was the May 6 harmony. We booked it so we would have three nights, three nights, seven nights on Harmony. The following day, we changed it to a different offer option.

Seems strange that they would offer a free sailing on a cruise we expected to be very popular.

Wonder if anyone on your May 6 sailing also planned to take the May 9, and maybe even the May 12. That was our plan

Thx

M

We were booked for the April 19 & 26 sailings. i could have waited but chose to move our sailings to the Freedom for March 1 & 8th on the Freedom for 2020. Because they were non refundable, I did receive 600 FCC toward our two Freedom cruises which have already been applied.

Gay, you really need to get your TA to call. She should be pushing for Royal to give you the same benefits that everyone else received including no loss of deposit and the OBC.

Ken I just sent her the copy of the letter, she spent close to an hour with Customer Service and they wouldn't budge, will see if maybe she can get us some OBC or something. I am awaiting the new invoices from her regarding the applied FCC's which I called on after getting the 2nd Cert and the lady applied 300 to each sailing at that time.

I would escalate this. That sailing was code red for months before you moved the sailing. I would send a letter to Bayley office.
