Sapphire Beach ! When you walk off the ship you will be greeted by a taxi coordinator, tell him/her what beach you want. The fee is 10.00 p/p ea way. Tell the driver to return to the beach for your return to the ship. Give them a time and they will be there, they like be groups. :)

Thank you !!

How long does it take from the pier to the beach (NCL Bliss)? Does it have restaurants and bathrooms ? Any entrance fees ? Chair and lounges?

Also, I've read somewhere that Corki beach is also very nice! Does anyone have any idea how long does it take to get there from the pier ? (NCL BLISS) and the cost ? Thanks

Coki beach is very close to sapphire so the cost should be the same

20 - 25 minutes and ~$10pp to any of the East End beaches (Coki, Lindqvist, Sapphire, Secret Harbor, Elysian). Coki, SH, and Sapphire are all options with snorkeling, food and drink, and lounges. Our choice would Sapphire, gorgeous beach and water with beautiful island views. Three condo properties share the bay but it is larger and is less crowded than Coki and SH. Lounges were $9pp, not sure about umbrella cost.

Guests of the Sapphire Beach Resort ( there are 3 complexes with the name Sapphire in them) get complimentary beach chaises. Their lounges have the large initials C O A on them.

Guests must rent from the dive shop for $9/day.

If a guest mistakenly sits in a C O A lounge the attendant will ask you to move.

Does Sapphire beach have umbrellas for rent as well for their chairs or is natural shade readily available?  From what I understand, Coki, Emerald and Magens bay are the only beaches with umbrella rentals? We have been doing Emerald and Magens for many years and thinking of a change :)

Thanks in advance!

We were able to rent an umbrella in Dec 2017. There was a lady selling clothes at the beach and she had umbrellas for rent. It was a little windy, but manageable. I think it was $15.

since we're a big group, it's better to reserve a taxi for the round trip? or it's okay to just hoop in n out?

Not sure if your group size is 10 or 30 ppl but if you want to ride together and have a mini-tour you could reserve a taxi ahead of time, or even hire a private driver for the day. But you can all just grab taxis heading to Sapphire and meet up there, there will be multiple taxis going to the East End beaches...taxis will be there for your return, and you can ask one of the drivers to return for your group if the vehicle is large enough...

Someone mentioned Elysian -- can one go into/through  that complex to get to  the beach?  Is any restaurant open there now...since hurricane??   (Heard the Wyndham timeshare units not avail for another year.)

Can one get to Bluebeards Beach?

Yes you can drive into the property. There was considerable damage, from what I’ve read recently the beach and grounds are nice, but many condos will not likely be back in use until late summer or fall.  The Caribbean Fish Market restaurant is open and the beach bar is expected to open for high season, Sangria's restaurant is not open.
