Riviera - Pool & steam room questions

What is the depth of the pool? We'd like to do walking laps but need a depth max of 4.5 ft to make it work.

You're out of luck, the swimming pools on all of the ships are deep. A uniform depth of at least 8 feet.

Are the steam and sauna open for daily use for all passengers? Or are they only included as part of a spa pkg?

The Steam Room/Sauna is open daily for all, at no additional cost.

Is the Canyon Ranch pool also 8 feet?

Most of the T-pools on the O ships are large hot tub size

Riviera is the largest t-pool & not too deep maybe waist deep but they have seating areas

The pools are salt water,yuk...

Jane, why "yuk"? I like salt water pools, so I'm puzzled as to why you don't ... not that you don't have the right not to like them!

I can see why a cruise ship would use salt water in the pool ... there's more of it around than fresh water ...

While still unsuitable fir the OP's purpose, IIRC the pool is not uniform but is perhaps 5 feet and quite quickly slopes down to treading water depth; I agree to your stated 8 feet. I'm sure near the ladder at one end I can touch the bottom with my head still just above water.

For Riviera, can someone explain what is included for all to use in the spa area. What is added for an extra charge and how much the charge is? Are packages available?

Any personal spa treatments like massages, hair cuts pedicures etc.. have a fee

Spa terrace is available free to Concierge cabins & above others can use the spa deck for a fee check with the desk in the spa for pricing

Some fitness classes have a fee but use of equipment in the gym is free

showers, steam room are free to use

No, but they don't look large. Larger than the "R" ships I'd say. (I've never taken a swim on any of the ships so I go just by appearance.)

Not an Olympic pool ... not that anyone expects that on a cruise ship!
