Portside or Starboard in Bermuda

It's also sometimes at the whim of Mother Nature. On our second Summit to Bermuda cruise, we docked in the opposite direction, from where we had been on our first cruise. The big factor was that we were docking in a wind-storm -- that lasted the whole three days we were there! :(

Captain Kate told us last year when she was on the Summitt that Captains choose which way they dock. It is based usually on weather coming in and expected when they leave, time of day etc. Example if it is windy coming in they usually don’t make the swing turn to be heading out on departure. If they expect it to be wi Day leaving they make the turn a dock heading out.

Just got off Summit yesterday. It was docked Port side this time and during my 2017 cruise.

So was ours in May 2017! Hold on, that’s 3 out of.......1,218 dockings??? Oh well. It looked for for a second.
