Roatan Snorkel

Just heard from Upachaya, tours will be canceled due to not enough participants. Any recommendations for alternative snorkel tour ?

Which port, if your port is Coxen Hole, just take a excursions to West Bay. There is several companies when you dock. The snorkeling is great from the beach.

Do we need an excursion to get to the West Bay barrier reef? Maybe a taxi would be cheaper, and if so anyone know whether the taxis stand there and what prices are?

We did a tour with Free Radical catamaran last month and enjoyed it. Check their website and see if they are sailing the day you will be there.

They need a minimum of 6 to sail, but will put you on the online calendar if they don’t have enough at the time you contact them.

We stopped at a desk right outside the port..They took us and pick us up..They do not guide you .You just go to beach .Lots of things to do..Snorkel right off beach

We used Roatan Eco Tour in December and had a fantastic time.

You can try to bargain , not sure how much I paid...Maybe 30 a person.. It takes awhile to get to West Bay, West End. If you are on Carnival it ports a different place...No need for transportation..You just walk over to beach. Good snorkeling from that beach... I have been to both ports.
