SeaPass currency confusion

Hi,

We are sailing from Southampton around Europe, however note that RC works in $(DOLLARS).

Should we pay everything onboard in $(DOLLARS) and let our bank convert to £(GBP)? I am pretty sure this was the advice given on some money programme, but thought someone on here would be able to help.

All onboard charges are in USD. If you secure your onboard account with a GBP denominated credit card, it's best to opt for the back to do the conversion. Letting the ship do the conversion will be more expensive than letting your bank do it.

If you have a Halifax Clarity credit card you will not be charged commission. Other cards charge commission but it is always best to let your bank do the conversion.
