Round trip Southampton to New York - problems updating address on ESTA

Hi.

We will be visiting New York for one day as part of the round trip transatlantic cruise. We already have ESTAs in place but, when I tried to update the address, the ESTA site would not accept Queen Mary 2 as a valid address.

Has anyone else had a similar problem and, if so, what was the solution?

Once having obtained an ESTA you don't have to update it every time you enter the USA.

You certainly do, if you have a new passport with different number.

I have tried using the details above, but I the system has rejected the address and wants a telephone number. Does anyone have other details that I can try?

The GPS address for the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal (this gets you to the terminal entrance, but it should resolve as a valid address) is 72 Bowne Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231.

Google tells me that the number for the terminal is (718) 855-5590.

The satellite Phone number for QM2 is 00870331062710

I had no difficulty in the esta accepting the details previously shown for when in transit at Brooklyn

Thanks. I must have done something wrong the first time. I have my ESTA approval so all I have to do now is wait until it's time to sail

We applied for our ESTA in July for our roundtrip Ta in October and cannot remember what actually put in place for valid address but should imagine it would have been QM2, Brooklyn Cruise Termial certainly didnt have to put full postal address or telephone number of terminal or QM2 that I am sure.

Now this has been bought to my attention I remember now when I applied for my ESTA in July I put the other suggestion in the online form "unknown" and then the ship's name i.e. QM2.

Usually for Two Years from date of last approval and with same passport. see link below.
