Mobile trafic

Are the lines still crazy long now that there are arrival appointment times? I don't know how long Carnival has been making arrival appointments. I do know that lines to get to the terminal were unreal when I saw them a year or 2 ago.

Following. Cruising 1/4 on Fantasy.

We left from there last Jan and again in Oct. They were not going by arrival appts. Yes traffic was crazy.

I am starting to regret booking Mobile. Sounds like parking and actually getting on the ship will be stressful. which is the whole point of a cruise is to get away from stress. All hotels with shuttles are already booked up (which is my fault for waiting so late). I just planned to drive directly to the port but would love to avoid some of this nightmare.

You might can check the microtel in saraland. They have a shuttle that will take you to the port and pick you up with their park and cruise deal. So much easier than trying to get through that mess. However if the ports would abide by the arrival times it wouldn't be like that.

We might do that. If we decide to come down the night before.

I did find a hotel a few blocks away with parking for $20/month without a required stay.

We stayed at the Wyndham by Wingate.

Think we paid an extra $50 for parking.

Nice hotel but they were severely late picking us back up from the terminal. So much so us and 2 other couples split the cost of another hotel van to get to our cars. The manager was a complete ASS. Wont stay there again.

Omg!! That’s an awful way to end your vacation! I hate that for you.

We are driving down the morning of so we won’t be needing a hotel but I’ll keep in mind not to ever stay there!
