See the Ruins in Belize, Costa Maya, or Cuzumel...?

We will be on a Carnival Cruise in September stopping at all three of these Ports, and we're wondering which Port is best to go on an excursion to Ruins? If so, which specific Ruins?

We went to Lamanai in Belize and Chacchoben in Costa Maya and enjoyed them both. There are some small ruins on Cozumel, but they are not as impressive. You have to go to the mainland to see major ruins from Cozumel. We do a beach day / snorkeling there.

There is a good thread on Lamanai on this Board with great tips. It was started a couple of years ago, but is still accurate.

In Costa Maya, check out Native Choice Tours. They have several different options and are very professional. We would gladly use them again.
