Website discrepancy on days left till my cruise

When I sign into my account on the Celebrity website in my iPad, it says there are x days left until my next booked cruise, but when I signed on using a Samsung Galaxy device, it says a number that is one day less (x-1). I’m signing in mid day, within minutes of each other, and at the main web site (not the mobile version).

Not sure why that would be but as long as you know your date of departure you will be fine. :);) Maybe just a website issue - that certainly has been known to happen with Celebrity and others. :rolleyes:

Do you know you actual day of embarkation?

If so, there can be 50 different times/days all over the site on various devices and it would not matter, correct?

I’m just curious why the same web page gives different numbers for the same sailing based on what device I’m using. Doesn’t make sense.

If you booked your air through Celebrity a day ahead they include that as your departure date not the actual cruising date.

So it looks like your cruise starts earlier by a day or two.

Right. But even if I did (I did not), whatever it is that the website says, it should say it the same no matter whether it’s accessed via an iPad or a Galaxy. It’s that discrepancy that is puzzling. Both devices are set to the same day, date, and time, and are accessing the website within minutes of each other, from the same geographic spot (my den in Columbia, MO), via the same WiFi.

Check your clock settings on both devices. Make sure the are set the same. Not just the time but the time zone as well. If they are not the same the Celebrity system may be pulling from that.

Simple answer is Celebrity IT.

Just get a count down clock here on Cruise Critic :). I do that and soon as I return it gets deleted.

The clock gives me reminders on:

-when final payment coming

-when to start working on air transportation/port hotels.

-calling Celebrity for luggage tags and going over our cruise

-doing express-pass

-etc...

That is another the many "undocumented features" of the X web site their IT department has spent significant dollars and hours perfecting!
