Christmas Decorations

Can someone tell me when the ships start decorating for Christmas. I will be sailing Dec 9th on the Regal and would love to get some Christmas photos.

Usually the first cruise out in December.

You should be good. We joined the Grand Princess on Nov 28 last fall and the decorators came on board with us.

That's my experience. We've done a couple of Thanksgiving cruises and the Xmas decorations start showing up right after Thanksgiving.

And on HAL ships, the decorations stay up through New Year's Day; on Zaandam this year, a couple of days beyond that. I'm anxious to see what will occur on my upcoming New Year's sailing on Royal Princess.

The other year on the golden, Cruise started 4th December, and decorations went up about the 10th December,.. So you should enjoy the Christmas decorations

From our experience, they start right after (US) Thanksgiving

Usually turnaround day after Thanksgiving.

We were on the December 10 cruise of the Royal last year. Lots of holiday decorations throughout the ship. As we were disembarking on the 20th, I noticed they added even more, including a huge gingerbread display.

We did a Christmas and New Years cruise, during the New Years cruise, things started disappearing until on January 1, everything was gone. It seemed like it was done overnight and it was very subtle but every day, decorations started disappearing.
