Are there toll roads going into Fort Lauderdale to the port? Family coming into Lauderdale the day before the cruise and didn't think to tell them they may run into this:eek: If so, does anyone know how often you have to pay & about how much? They're driving in from Georgia, thanks

The only toll road heading south to Fort Lauderdale is on the Florida Turnpike. If they stay on I95, no tolls.

Great, thank you so very much! Can you tell I always fly in? Had no clue & knew I would get the answer here, huge help, thank you :)

We travel to Florida a lot. With all the toll roads throughout the state, we have SunPass (https://www.sunpass.com/index) transponder for the car. I have the Mini Sticker ($4.99) that attaches to the windshield.

You get a discount on the tolls with the transponder. You get to pass the toll booths at collection points instead of having to pay. There are also several places where you must have a SunPass to exit the toll road.

It takes about 7 days by mail.

Depends on how they come. If they come down 95 no tolls but it could take a little longer than the turnpike. If they take the turnpike it will be $20 or so. I have went both ways from Atlanta and cant say if one is better than the other.
