Back to Back Cruises

If you do back to back cruises do you get the amenities on both cruises such as elite mini bar, military and loyalty OBC, etc. or just on the first leg of the cruises? :)Thanks

You will get a duplicate set up on leg #2 ... just as you would on a separate cruise. It will be a separate cruise, after all.

Is it listed under one booking number or two? If one the amenities will cover the entire cruise, if two they will be split but it may be doubtful if it’s split. All b to b’s I have taken were one booking number.

We've done them both ways, and in our experience - all the Captain's Circle perks duplicated each leg of the cruise, regardless of how we booked it, ie one booking, two booking numbers, three booking numbers, etc. Didn't matter as far as Captain's Circle perks went - they renewed every leg.

The loyalty credit however, is based on booking numbers - at least according to the several Captain's Circle hosts I've spoken with. One booking number, one loyalty credit, regardless of how many segments the booking number covers. (same for shareholders credit, military credit, etc also) Separate booking numbers, separate loyalty credits (and shareholders, etc based on length of cruise for each booking number).

So, OP - you can expect your perks to renew each leg, regardless of how it's booked. Separate mini-bar each leg, Internet minutes, and so forth. Loyalty credit depends on how you booked - one booking number, ine credit, regardless of how many segments it covers. Separate booking numbers, loyalty credit for each booking number..

Any questions , speak with the CC host onboard.

Have a great time...

We were booked as two cruises, separate booking numbers, and got everything duplicated. IF the cruise you are doing is offered both ways (if you could choose to book as 20 nights or 9+11), look to see what would give you the best price and benefits, and book the way it comes out best financially. If it is only available as two separate cruises, you have your answer.

Min Bar - one each segment

Loyalty - one per booking number

Military - One per booking no.

Internet - one per segment and unused mins. carry over.

Most likely. YMMV

You also might be able to buy some on the last night of the first cruise and take it to your stateroom.

But. Maybe not. Consistently inconsistent.

Thank you for the quick response, and I have to agree; Princess being Consistently inconsistent.

I was wondering on a B2B cruise, if I were to buy some booze at one of the ports. ;) Would it be delivered to our cabin at the end of the first segment of the cruises? Just wondering... :halo:

If you buy it in the Princess shops on the last day of the first leg they "usually" let you just take it to your room & don't check if your doing another cruise ;)

BUT

if you make the purchase off the ship they've been getting wise & hold it to the end of the last cruise.:(

The last day is busy in the liquor shop. If they ring you up on a cash register they might see that you are on for another segment. Ditto if they look at your cruise card and see the end date is not the next day. If they just write down the purchase on a sales slip. they cannot tell unless they do look at the end-date on the cruise card.

True, but when they're busy I doubt they take the time to check....or at least they didn't the few times I made a purchase.

I did that one time expecting to see the bottle show up at the end of the second cruise. I was surprised to find it in my stateroom the night before the end of the first cruise. Like everything Princess, your success may be different.

We booked our first BTB in 2020. Same cabins, what is the procedure. Get off as late as possible, then back on right away? Don't want to do anything in FLL. Elite and Platinum. Separate bookings for both worked out better. 10day/15day.

In FLL, you'll have two options.

A) disembark whenever you like during regular disembarkation. Show your "In Transit" card, so no real immigration and customs to worry about. Go enjoy Ft Lauderdale, pick up more wine, whatever. You can't come back onboard till boarding begins though, usually around 11/11:30. Flash your In Transit card to everyone as you show back up at boarding area - they'll direct you to skip the lines, etc and right inboard.

B) do ship clearance with the group. This will vary depending on how many Back to Back passengers onboard. You'll be directed to a lounge or theater to meet at and either A) be escorted off as a group, cleared by ICE as a group and escorted right back onboard or B) be cleared right there onboard and released back to your cabins.

We rarely take this route as there is invariably someone who thinks the meeting doesn't apply to then and we inevitably have to wait 15-45 minutes or more for then to answer the numerous calls for them to report to the theater for the meeting. We take option A, get a pedicure, pick up some more wine and head back onboard when boarding begins..

Bonus - no muster drill on the second leg. But all the bars are shut down, so get your last drink at last call. Lol.

Have a great time...

We have done several B2B's in Ft. Lauderdale. You will receive instructions in your cabin mail a day or two before the turn-around-day. They will tell you when and where to meet and give you an "In Transit" card. Don't be late as nothing will happen until everyone shows up. Depending on the number of passengers doing back to back cruises, you will be processed in one of two methods.

All march off the ship to show your passport to a government agent in the terminal building. You will have a brief wait there until everyone has left the ship and then you can return aboard the ship

If there are a lot of in-transit passengers you may all wait in the Princess theater and the officials will check your passport as you file out and then you are free to do whatever you have planned.

Excellent, printing this out and putting it in file. Sip-n-sail, so I'll let Princess foot the bill.

Every time we have left the ship to go into town we did have to go through immigration and show our passport & intransit card. It is quick if there is no line, but if there is a line you have to wait.

Regarding your cabin, it's just like any other day of the cruise, leave all your stuff and the steward will clean as normal.
