Does anyone know the story behind the statue of the red dog that is peeking out from a balcony overlooking the Promenade? (I tired posting a picture, but not sure it worked).

Not sure that there is a story other then it's another piece of art. A similar dog is on Liberty. The college kids had fun moving him around a few years back on March break.

During the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise on Liberty, "Clifford" the dog was removed from his perch on the Promenade, taken down to one of the concert venues, and then crowd-surfed over the audience. :D

This activity is Not Recommended, BTW: The miscreants were identified, nearly kicked off the cruise, and had to pay $2,000 restitution to Royal. --Each.

On Independence, the red dog is on Deck 6 - port side. :D

--At least for now. Our music charter is coming up in (holy carp!) just 3 weeks...and here's hoping "he" (?) doesn't get moved around or crowd-surfed...again.

Not gonna say it's Royal Caribbean's biggest-drinking cruise....but yeah, it probably is. It could be the biggest-drinking cruise in the world. :D
