port in St. Lucia

Hi,

We're going to do the 1/2 pass at Rendezvous Resort in July from noon-4. I'm wondering what the port is like in St. Lucia. Is there stuff right there at the port to keep us busy until we go to the resort. Any shops, restaurants, bars right there at the port. Is there a beach close to port that we could go to until noon??

there are number of shops right where the ship docks.
