Choose room - Port vs Starboard with magic carpet view

Not sure if someone has asked this already, does any of you have any suggestions on which side of edge ship to book ? We're booking Sky suite S2 maybe a room slightly away towards the back from magic carpet on deck 10, husband thought it might be a somewhat new experience to stay in room and hear live music or live events from magic carpet -- or, is there going to be no events there and it's only a place for people to sit and have drinks?? Too bad there's so little info revealed now :(

My travel agent said the magic carpet is gonna block part of the skyline even though it's nor directly in front of us or near us, like when you lean out and look , a chunk of platform is gonna be there, she recommends the Port side instead.

What do you guys think?

There are various opinions noted on the MC threads...some want to see it in action and are willing to sacrifice better view. We booked opposite side of ship...away from anything to do with MC...

This is something I've thought about after seeing the construction pix Lloyd's been kindly sharing. Currently in Cabin 10210 which will have a view of the carpet. We'd enjoy seeing the operation from our veranda but haven't considered the noise factor be it people or music. Since there aren't any comparably situated port cabins currently available moving is moot! If there are too many drawbacks we experience in this midship cabin, we will be sure to book portside for future Edge bookings!
