Overnight in Mumbai

Hi all, we are on the Azamara Quest in April with an overnight in Mumbai. We have our first day + the half day afterwards planned with a private guide and hopefully will see most of the main sights. I was wondering if there are any "must sees" you'd suggest we do in the evening?

It depends on what you'd like to do but here are a couple of suggestions:

Go to a live Indian dance/music performance

Go to a club (lots of Bollywood music)

Go to Chowpatty Beach - lots of locals will be out walking, hanging out, and enjoying some "stall" foods

Go to the markets/clubs in Bandra (suburb)

Have a delicious dinner at Trishna's and walk around Colaba at night

It gets dark fairly early in Mumbai (6-6:30). You can take a taxi anywhere (and will have no problem finding a return taxi). Be sure to make sure the driver uses a meter (or at the very least negotiate a fare BEFORE you get in the taxi).

To find listings of performances or get info about clubs (types of music, etc.), pick up a copy of Time Out Mumbai magazine. You can get one anyplace where mags are sold (across from Victoria Terminus - which you will definitely see on your tour - are plenty of news stands).
