Looking at the deck plans I can’t work out if you can walk all round this ship, we like to walk round the ship a few times trying to keep fit! Or to help with the weight gain. We were on the Oceana in September you can walk all round on the prom deck .

Any tips or advice please chip in

You can walk round or run but near the bow you go upstairs around the front on the upper promenade deck portion then back down again on the other side.

You can also walk about on the roof of the bridge when open, the "Forward Observation Deck" is accessible from time to time with access fro Lido Deck cabin area either end of cabins L101 to L104. Not many people ever find this deck.

Yes - as John Watson says, you can, with some stairs. No great problem, and certainly easier than on Azura - though even that's possible with a couple of little detours.

The Promenade Deck layout on Ventura is very simple with straight stairways port and starboard at the end of the lower part to get you around the elevated section about the bow. This design is only possible where the cabins in the transitional area are simple outside cabins and not balcony cabins.

The change for Azura was necessary because the cabins in the transitional area are balcony cabins and the "Bypass Route" needed to get to and around the elevated forward section of the promenade deck has been created internally.

The aforementioned P&O ships are continuations of the original Grand Princess (biggest cruise ship in the world 1998) making them Grand Class. The first three Grand Class ships, Grand Princess, Golden Princess and Star Princess all have balcony cabins in this transitional area but have an external solution to the bypass route.

Basically they have transitional shelf decks both port and starboard at an intermediate location. Overlooking this are inset balcony cabins.

If you start at the bow you come to a curved stairway to descend to the shelf which takes you along the run of the inset balcony cabins then round the end to descend the final straight stairway. I have posted a YouTube video "Promenade deck tour of the Grand Princess" which shows this expensive solution which was abandoned after the first three ship builds. The video starts at the elevated bow section, curved stairs at 0.27 then along the shelf with overlooking inset balcony cabins until 0.50 when you go round the corner and then descend the straight flight. I hope some people find this interesting!

Ventura Promenade Deck around the elevated Bow section is almost identical to Crown Princess, no forward area balcony cabins in this area, and the layout is as shown on the YouTube video "Crown Princess:Promenade Deck" This is by far a more simple arrangement to say the least and does illustrate the Ventura layout very closely regarding the elevated bow area of the Promenade Deck. There is also less clutter than shown on the video on the long straight walking area.

In June and then again in September we tried to get to the roof of the bridge, the Forward Observation Deck as it is called, and one of our favourite places on the ship. On both occasions the doors were locked and when we enquired we were told the the doors were kept locked permanently now to ensure the privacy of the suites that are by that deck. We were also told though, that this deck would occasionally be used for functions.

on rough or windy sea days usually both of the stair access's will be off limits with chains across. though to be honest its hard to fight the wind tunnel that is created let alone run through there! but if you get a good calm day you can be like rose on the titanic with arms out stretched. :'):'):')
