Agreed! Also -- don't get drunk and stupid. Of course, not all -- but many of the 'horror stories' involve way too much alcohol.:eek:

There are some areas of Mexico that are scary for Americans to be traveling alone. That being said, those areas include the interior of the country, most cruisers stay within 5 miles of the coast. Cruise lines do their best to shield pax from danger, but docks/piers are normally in the seedy parts of town. If you stay with an organized group you should be OK
