Jim Avery Posted July 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2018 That is great. I loved it two ways. First I really enjoyed sailing on the Triplets and second, I used to sail a freighter in and out of the Ballard Locks in the late'80s. Good memories of the ship and the Seattle area. Thanks for posting.
Hanoverian Posted July 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2018 We saw her up close in Malaga in May, looking as good as ever. She was our favorite ship and triplet that we sailed on the most. Good to know that the Legend is still making people happy.
Scb71 Posted July 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2018 I do miss the Legend. It was our first Seabourn experience and while we have enjoyed the Odyssey line ships we missed the small feel and higher service level of the Legend. The boutique yacht-like nature and service just seemed to be a little less than before. We now have a cruise on the Encore in a couple of weeks and it will be our first time on the now even larger ships. I am worried about it but hoping we enjoy it. New is nice but more people is a concern. Hoping for the best!
Baynanno1 Posted July 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2018 Legend was our first cruise ship also and we still miss her. :loudcry: The newer 450 passenger ships are just not in the same class. We have yet to try the newest 600 passenger ships, although a report just to hand from friends who recently completed a Baltic Cruise on Ovation, that sounds more promising.
