Usb ports in the lamps

We had a Vista Suite on the Miracle last April and were quite pleased that all the lamps were replaced with newer models with USB ports in them.

This is the first time I've encountered this, and wonder if this is something they only provide for suites, or, will this become standard for all cabins.

(Of course, I always bring my three-way adapter, and my chargers.;))

The newer ships will offer this lamp option .. I do recall an additional USB port in the wall though.

They were added to Elation and Paradise at last drydock. As well as two usb ports at the desk. EM

Balcony on Lido deck. I believe it was an 8E

We had them in our grand suite on the Sensation. It was great because I use my phone as an alarm clock and it was great having it next to me vs. across the room.

Does anyone know if they have these lamps in a regular balcony room on the Magic?

I look more forward to our balcony on the Dream next April thanks to you kind folks!;)

Just got paradise last month. There were sub ports by the bed (not on lamps), and multiple recepts by the mirror.

Some of the rooms on the Valor has them.

Does anyone know if the Vista has them? Getting on Saturday!

We had them on the Fascination in May, stayed in JS V-17. Don't know if all rooms had them.

For those asking about Magic, they still had the old lamps when we sailed in May. We had to bring a charging port from home.

Vista as of June '18 did not.

Vista had 1 or 2 usb outlets next to the electrical outlet on desk.

Glory as of April '18 did not.

Conquest as of April '18 did not.

Miracle as of Feb. '18 did not.

Magic as of Dec. 17 did not.

Paradise as of Nov '17 did not.

I can say that every room on the dream did not have them. We had an interior on Floor 11 and our sailing friends had a cove balcony on Floor 2 with the old lamps.

Some of the rooms on the Valor has them.

Any idea which rooms? We're on Valor in 26 days, fingers crossed they are in our room.

The center is the on/off switch - they are just the same as the lamps in most hotels (2 USB jacks and an on/off switch on the front bottom panel of the lamp)

Not cranky at all, those lamps are a VERY common fixture in about every hotel room for years now and they are all the same setup.

Yeah, I work in the hotel industry, and travel about a third of the year, both domestically and internationally. That feature in the pic does not look like switch (even if it is). Thanks for being condescending.
