Does Eurodam have a cash machine yet?

I don't think I'll need it but just in case because somebody a while back mentioned it was in the works, so I'm wondering if HAL ever moved on this?

I was reading a boiler plate cruise document from HAL and it states there are no ATM machines on board. It was written like it applied system wide.

Several. They call them slot machines, though. They usually work in reverse, however.

I worked at the Luxor in Vegas one year and there was an international tourist and we will leave it at that in her 50's maybe 60's with a stack of $20's, $50's and $100's playing the quarter slots however she would feed the bill in and immediately hit cash out so of course all these coins dropped out with her exclaiming, "I won! I won! I won!" I just didn't have the heart to tell her that she didn't win she was just changing the bills for coins.

That is a funny story.

Not sure if she was really that dumb or just wanted to show off.

The last 3 HAL ships we were on (Rotterdam, Westerdam, Oosterdam) all have ATM's in the casinos. But they charge a pretty steep transaction fee. The better deal is to sit down at a slot machine, put your room card in, and request a few hundred $$$ from your room account. Do a few pulls of the one-armed-bandit, then cash out. You will get a ticket you can take to the casino cage and they will give you US $$$ cash. There is no transaction fee, no credit card fee, and the amount lands on your room account which you pay at the end of the cruise. Much better than ATM's onboard, cash advances at the front desk or ATM's on shore, unless you need Euros or another foreign currency. Than the best deal is the ATM's on shore.

No ATMs on HAL ships. Not aware that such a move is in the works
There was one on the K'dam when we were on in late 2016, and I was told that they would be added to other ships. It charged a flat fee of $6.50 rather than a percentage, so for small amounts it's better to get cash from the front desk, or the "slot machine method" described above.

Although you say that 'you don't think you'll need it', but in reality, are you trying to plan ahead? ;p

Well, I like to be prepared, I'm a little nervous, I've never done an 18 day sailing before, I have only done 7 days and it seems like so long to be gone even though it's going to be nice when day 8 hits knowing I still have over half the trip to go.

I'm not watching anymore packing videos, great for ideas on what to bring but it's going in the wrong direction, trying to eliminate the extras not add to them.

GOOD for you. The reward is not having to deal wtih heavy suitcases and take so much time unpacking and then re-packing later to get it all home.
