We sail on the Marco Polo on June 10 out of Civitavecchia, Italy. We are limiting ourselves to one shore excursion for the 7 days. We know we can see the other ports well enough on our own. That being said, we are a group of 4 adults and definitely want to see Cinque Terre. There are private tour operators at double the cost of the shore excursion...according to some of the websites I've looked at. We can't book the ship's C.T. tour in advance though. Does anyone have experience with this particular tour? How did they feel it was for the money? Was there a 50 person bus group all funnelling into the medieval villages? Were you guided or left to your own devices to discover Cinque Terre?
Thanks for your help
