Post-Cruise Ft. Lauderdale Hotel?

My travel companion and I are planning on staying 1 night post cruise on Sunday, February 1. Of course, the cruise ship gets in early, so we will have the majority of Sunday and all morning Monday to explore a little bit of Ft. Lauderdale. We will not have a car, so would like someplace to stay that will keep us entertained and are accessible by foot and/or water taxi. Would love suggestions. Shuttle to airport would be nice (but not necessary), and mid-range in price. Thanks fellow cruisers.

Feb will be pricey - what is your definition of mid-range? :confused:

Lots of hotels in the 17th street/downtown area of FLL in a variety of price ranges. We like the Embassy Suites - check http://www.sunny.org for tourist and lodging info.

Not sure of your budget. But staying at a hotel on the beach would be my choice. Look at the Bahia Mar, on that date the most reasonable of those. Too it's a block or two from the water taxi stop. Something you will probably want to use.

Riverside Hotel is in the middle of everything fun downtown.
