Carnival purchase discounts

Hi all -

I am normally a Royal Caribbean cruiser, and going on the Carnival Liberty this winter for a family birthday. When I was looking at drink packages etc the other day, I wondered if those things ever go on sale. With Royal, I can normally catch a 20-30% off deal for those things. Does Carnival ever do that?

Thanks!

Tricia

Drink packages never go on sale. Occasionally John Heald will post a discount code for excursions and/or spa purchases on this FB page.

Otherwise, to save $$, pre-purchasing both Cheers and internet services will provide a lower price than purchasing them on board.

Carnival doesn’t have to offer perpetual sales and discounts to sell its product like other lines with initially inflated prices.

So no, you won’t see such sales here.

Really? You have to be a bit rude in the response digging at another cruise line? Aren’t we all cruisers here? I’m sorry you don’t have enough positivity in your life that you have find a way to be negative to others.

My post was an honest assessment of how some lines market themselves.

It wasn’t rude to anyone... personal or professional.

I do appreciate your concern for my well-being but my happiness is spread farther than you can ever imagine in ways you cannot fathom.

true dat

almost everyone on my roll call is on a special casino rate, some super duper where they get early boarding and other perks, i think its called ultra casino rate.

they fill the ships with people who spent $50 gambling and give them special rates to fill the ships, so they dont have to lower prices to fill the ships. my dec cruise is almost or full. ... and i was the first one to post on my cc roll call that paid full price (X2 to add insult to injury) as a solo the rest were all on ultra casino rates.

Isn’t the special casino rate a sale or discount? It’s all in how you look at. I asked an honest question. Just wanted a simple, yes or no answer. Not an opinion of pricing structures on cruise lines.

if it was a sale or discount available to all, then Id agree.

I needed to buy some refills of drugs in Belize is the only reason Im cruising again for the first time in 2 years.

I simply got tired of a lot of things. I used to cruise up to 7 or 8 times a year and it just got to where I decided to stop.

Im going to shop and Carnival was my only choice to Belize out of Galveston, so I paid the X2 solo price but I dont have to like it.

Ill probably wait next time for a last minute deal. I have seen some since I booked.

Im entitled to my opinion. sorry if my response doesnt please you,
