What I find funny is that the poster of that youtube video had the nerve to get upset at people's responses. Why would he/she post a video on a public website that allows responses to videos, if he/she couldn't take the heat......

Doesn't it state in the contract that the cruiseline can miss ports without compensating the passengers?

Well, apparently, the cruiseline is missing the port for a reason, which is most likely for our safety (in most cases anyway)....

They kept saying the Legend ... but I am not sure which ship it was.

The funny thing is ...did you notice the Crystal Eagle in the background?

Given to the ship in the fleet with the best comment cards .... :D

Good grief, it must be such a burden carrying around that much anger and hostility :(

Missing a couple of ports would be a disappointment, but would not ruin my cruise. Ending up on a ship with these people certainly would though.

The Department of State alerts U.S. citizens to the current unstable political and security situation in Honduras, and recommends that American citizens defer all non-essential travel to Honduras until further notice. This Travel Alert expires on July 29, 2009.

On Sunday June 28, the Honduran military ousted President Manuel Zelaya and sent him out of the country. There are military or police checkpoints throughout Tegucigalpa, and there have been reports of sporadic demonstrations.

The Department of State recommends that American citizens residing in and visiting Honduras remain close to their homes or hotels unless their travel is of a life or death nature, or a scheduled departure from Honduras, and that U.S. citizens restrict travel within the country to necessary trips. The Government of Honduras has imposed a curfew for June 29 and June 30 from 9:00 p.m through 6:00 a.m. The U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa strongly recommends American citizens to abide by such curfews and to check the Embassy’s website for the latest information on curfews. The U.S. Embassy has restricted the travel of its staff within Honduras to necessary trips. The decision to lift or continue those restrictions will be made on a day-to-day basis.

There was a strike going on in Honduras- for security reasons ships were not ALLOWED to dock there- nothing to do with the Captain. Roatan could not ensure anyone's safety given the circumstances, civil unrest, but apparently these cruisers took it on themselves to start a mutiny.

I've always said if I was stuck on a ship for 7 days at sea I'd love it...well we got that with my 200+ group on Splendor in April.....no Mexican Ports but they took us to cold, wet San Fran :D......but guess what?...we weren't working and we were on a cruise ship with friends and had a blast!:D

Cruises.......as is life......is what you make out of it....your choice.;)

If I'm not mistaken this video is from a cruise that took place last Aug /Sept 2008 when there was a strike and civil unrest.

The cruise line was looking out after the people's safety and I am sure that after that lovely little protest, they were willing to let them off the ship and let them fight it out in the port that was cancelled because of lack of safety...good grief, makes me feel like I now understand why people think some Americans are so spoiled...sad....

I watched the whole video. It's proof positive that stupid, ignorant, and, greedy yankees do take cruises.

I just wonder why the security did not escort that loud-mouth woman to her cabin and post a guard at the door.

The cruise line should make it more obvious that if any port is missed that no compensation is due. It's in the contract but it should be taped to the inside of the door of every cabin in bold letters.
