Noordam vs. Westerdam Alaska

Need some quick info. Which ship do most prefer?

You realize they are, for the most part, twin sisters? Minor differences between them.

Oh but the HAL travel agents have a saying. "WESTIE is the bestie" It is a well liked ship over the years.

Westerdam has now lost her library in the Crow's Nest. No computers there -- moved down to a lower deck. The Exploration Cafe is now part of the Bar -- smaller and less food offerings.

Noordam still has her Library on the Promenade Deck with the Explorations Cafe.

I would choose the Noordam.

Westerdam..the "issues" with the Crow's Nest are neither here nor there for me.

I agree the computers were not needed in that area. But I am on the Noordam next year to Alaska with a great land tour after cruising.

I just know the agents have their saying but it could change. there is no BAD DAMN ship in my opinion.

Noordam will probably be in drydock sometime before the Alaska season in 2019. Their itineraries will probably be slightly different northbound and southbound....Skagway and Haines trade off.
