Breakaway WiFi

Does anyone know if the WiFi on the Breakaway is fast enough for me to be able to watch the world swipes on my iPad? Is it fast enough to steam video?

I was on there this past May and did a live report from and it did not seem anywhere near enough to stream video. I had issues uploading small you tube videos which I could not do. Not sure if it was upgraded since then.

Also are you asking about the world series, or swipes? If the series then it should be on most TV's onboard.

I truly doubt that you will be able to stream video. It took quite some time to upload a picture!

We were on the Breakaway a few months back and it was not sufficient to stream.

Is it fast enough to use wifi calling to call home?

WiFi calling not likely to work. Latency through Satellite is too long.

The FAQ states the wi-fi isn't capable of streaming video.

I was on the October 8th cruise and I'm going to say no. I had issues just video chatting or sending pictures. It was very choppy and slow.

I think it will depend on how much water you use. ;) However, you may well get steamed waiting for video of the world series to download.

I was on the breakaway in September and I had no issues steaming my movies at night on my iPad. Grant it wasn’t as fast as my WiFi at home.
