Is it tacky to use something from another cruise ship?

I hope not because I have some bright red blankets from Viking that might be useful on my 2018 South America cruise.

Not an issue; bring your blankets. I've seen folks on one cruise ship, wearing a t-shirt from another line and I didn't see anyone throw them overboard.:D

I guess I'll have a robe and some towels from NCL but it will be nice to have those towels on cool days.

There's no reason to feel the need to buy something you already have just because it has the logo of another cruise line on it. ;)

it's funny you should ask that question because I honestly (briefly though) had a similar concern. I just returned from my first NCL cruise. I had a backpack type bag that I use for excursions that has the Carnival logo. Like I said, I briefly considered not bringing it and buying another one or an NCL one instead...but then I snapped back to logical reality and realized it was silly to consider that

Unless NCL is offering to buy you something with their logo, don't worry about it!

Haha...i have a Royal Caribbean cup with lid that they gave out with their beverage package. Since NCL doesnt give free bottled water with their package I was thinking of using that for water at night. I was wavering since it does have their logo on it but now I think I will bring it.

Absolutely not tacky but won't blankets take up an awful lot of room in your luggage? You should have extra blankets in your cabin if needed and if not, your cabin steward should be able to get some for you.

You may wear or bring whatever "logo" stuff you want. They will NOT throw you overboard...I guarantee that. Don't overthink this....consider the ship to be your "resort" for your vacation...that's all it is.

Believe me, it's a lot safer than wearing a Georgia T-shirt to an Alabama football game in Alabama.

On one my Princess Cruises there was a grumpy old guy wearing a RCL cap and took every opportunity to point at it and say “Much better cruise line!”. That is tacky folks.

Yeah, it's tacky but I use my HAL thermal cup on NCL.

Go ahead and use the blanket.

I like to collect the logo wear from every different cruise line I sail on, and like to wear the appropriate ones on future cruises, to show my 'veteran' status...:)

If I see someone wearing an item from a different line, I may tease them about being on the 'wrong ship', but it is always done in good-natured jest...nothing serious...;p

So by all means, go ahead and wear whatever you want....it really matters, zero...:)

My carry-on/beach bag is my bag from DCL. I use it on every ship.

I brought the bottle of champagne that NCL gave me for being a past guest on our NCL Escape cruise in September ( but we didn't drink because we had UBP) as one of our allowed bottles of wine to bring on our CCL Fantasy cruise in October. :)
