Forward balconies for Alaska?

We are going next summer on the NCL Pearl and currently have an AB Penthouse with connecting AE Mini-Suite on Port side (because BQ says get Port side for Glacier Bay!). it appears the size of our group may change, so I was looking at the different suites still available. There are HUGE suites avail. with bigger balconies than what we'll have, but they are at the front of the ship. I'm thinking it would be awfully windy, especially in Alaska. What do the rest of you think? Is a forward balcony bad for Alaska?

Thanks,

Robin

These are the PRIME locations on the NCL ships. The ones I've seen have been on front lower decks- with at least 4+++ decks above them??? If you truely want to experience all that Alaska can offer these are the views to take. I'm up on the top deck- most all of sailing. Forward viewing is the best.

Frankly- who cares about the wind?? Easy to just step back or inside as there is a natural "wind break" at some point. Key is being prepared in your attire. Necessary is a pair of wide angle binoculars, my preference are 10x50's.

Thanks for your insight, I was hoping you'd respond! I'm going to email our TA to see what can be done and what kind of pricing we can get. Having so much balcony space would be really nice for our group.
