We would like to Cruise from the West Coast U.S. through the Panama Canal to anywhere in the Southern U..S. then back to the West Coast on the same ship or a different Cruise ship leaving the South. Is this possible in 2019-2020?

Favorite Ports on the West Coast... Seattle, Vanouver, San Francisco, San Diego.

No need for a travel agent. Search engines and Cruise Critic members are more reliable.

In addition to navybankerteacher's Volendam cruise, Holland America's Westerdam cruises from San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale and back on January 20 and March 9, 2018.

Celebrity Infinity does the same on April 17 and September 9, 2018.

Yes NBT we like to chat with TA's, but often Time is Money to TA's, especially at the local Military Base here. I always look at all the options and start evaluating Cruises two to three years in advance...CC is an excellent source.

This you need the help of a good TA--don't even try yourself.

Humbug! We travel all over the world and seldom rely on TAs or cruise agencies..most of whom have little personal travel experience. These days there are so many online data bases and resources we only use cruise agents as a way to save substantial money over booking direct with cruise lines.

So, here is an idea for the OP. Take a look at some of the Coral Princess itineraries. They sometimes do a round trip through the canal from the west coast. As an example, they have a Dec 7 15 day cruise from LA to Ft Lauderdale and then you can return on the Dec 22 cruise (same ship). They do the same thing again in February or 2019 round trip from LA (San Pedro).

Go to http://www.cruisetimetables.com and look at Panama Canal as a Port of Call. It will show you who is dong full and partial transits. Some ships do back and forth full transits, others alternate full and partial transits. You might even go one way on one ship, spend a day or three in port, and come back on another ship. Lots of things to look at. Think outside the box. EM

do not use ITT for a cruise. they are great for discounted tickets to local attractions and the occasional package deal but not a cruise. the advertised cruise specials really aren't that great.. we have always found better deals on our own.

Volendam and Coral Princess so far in 2019 - maybe others will be announced later.
