Room upgrade

We are sailing on Nieuw Amsterdam Alaska cruise, rt from Vancouver. I just received a room upgrade offer. Currently we are on C level (window, no balcony). The upgrade moves us to deck VQ/VH (room depending on availability) for extra $129 pp.

Thoughts?

Having been in an oceanview and a room w/ a balcony, I vote for the balcony!

You can order room service on scenic cruising day and enjoy the view w/o anybody crowding you at the railing.

With this price difference I would probably upgrade, although we don't spend much time in our room or on balcony.

Another great site with deck plans and photos (some older) is cruisedeckplans dot com. Again search for the ship then the deck to view. Although your exact cabin is not pictured there are photos of a similar one close by your room. The furniture and carpet may have been updated since the photos but at least you can get an idea. Enjoy planning!

OP, your cabin is on halfacts dot com. It's the cabin on the Eurodam, but, since they are sister ships, it should be pretty much identical. Hope this helps.
