Volcanoes National Park Excursions - cancelled?

I will be sailing on the Emerald Princess, 15 day round trip from Vancouver to Hawaii, on Oct 4, 2018. We are scheduled to stop in Hilo on Oct 10th. The Princess website is still promoting excursions to Volcanoes National Park; however, as far as I can tell it is still closed and will likely be so for some time. Does anyone have any idea at what point Princess would remove these excursions from their website and perhaps replace them with other options?

If the VNP is still closed in October, I am trying to figure out what other things to do would be good options in this port. Any suggestions? We will be in port from 7am to 5pm.

Next month we are going to Hawaii and booked Moana Kea with Forest Trails. Take a look at their website. They have a waterfall tour that would fit your port schedule!
