Carnival Fantasy/Mobile Questions

We will be sailing the Fantasy on December 11th. We are flying in on Sunday December 10th.

Does anyone know a good hotel perhaps with an airport/port shuttle?

Or does anyone have experience getting from airport/hotel/port?

The port of Mobile seems to be more industrial and nothing like Tampa, Miami, etc. It was hard enough finding a reasonable flight into Mobile.

We stayed at the Admiral Semmes Hotel and they had a park and stay.

Not sure about the airport transportation

Actually the Cruise terminal is right in the downtown area and I didn't find it to be industrial at all.

Also you might want to ask these question in the home port section of the forums might have better luck.

Hampton downtown is really a nice clean Hotel . You get a voucher to park at the port when you book at this hotel and that's a plus if your driving . Not enough Good is said about Mobile or it's history here. Mobile reminds me of a miniature Key West or New Orleans. The Bad , flooding during hurricane season. Make sure you park in a higher tier if driving.

We stayed in one of the Marriotts in Spanish Fort. 10 minutes to Port and peaceful.

We will be cruising out of mobile in 2 weeks over halloween. We are booked at the battle house renaissance for their park and cruise package, They are letting us leave our car there and transporting us to and from the port. We picked this hotel because it looked really close to everything we want to do. We are doing the spooky duck tour the night before the cruise and what i have seen there is lots of places to eat close to hotel.

Flights in and out of Mobile have sucked for as long as there's been commercial air travel. Click on the link for hotel info. Most will shuttle you to the port if you ask. If you stay downtown, there's plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. You could actually walk to the port from most downtown hotels, if you were really ambitious.

We have stayed twice at the Holiday Inn Tillman's Corner. Last time was in May and there ended up being several other folks staying there as well. They have free breakfast and shuttle to the port. We have had no complaints either time we stayed.

Look under the Home Port boards. There are extensive discussions about where to stay in Mobile. You just have to do a little looking since Mobile is not a major player in Gulf Coast Departures.

See you on board! I don't make plans for hotel in Mobile on a Sunday bc coupons are good in the paper books in rest stops! I have been here twice, paid less than 75at holiday inns or comfort inns
