Suggestions on hotel in Ft Lauderdale

Based on your recommendations and others I have booked the Westin Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale through Hotwire for just under $100.00 US (not including the $25.oo resort fee to be paid at the hotel). I know this is a great price and am now looking forward to staying in Fort Lauderdale the day/night before our cruise out of Miami.

 

What transportation will you use from the Westin to port of Miami?

This is getting very confusing. The Hyatt Place is not available for my dates, HIA is 229 which seems rediculous for a Holiday Inn. Has anyone ever booked on Hot wire doing a secret hotel which won't be revealed till after purchase? Sounds a little scary to me but the prices are certainly better.
