Casino question, please.

I'm leaving Monday on the Fascination and will be playing in the casino, probably table games mostly.

Any tips on how to get the most comps at table games? Also, are drinks free while you are playing? Thank you.

20 or 25 per hand seems to be the magic number. place lots of money on the table even if you dont plan on using it all with you sas card, be friendly and tip the dealers. Say outloud you could use something to drink, pitboss may call over the drink guy and pay for it. works for me somtimes.

Drinks are not free. The pit boss does have somewhat of a budget though and could choose to buy you one from time to time if you have been playing awhile.

I am assuming this is your first Carnival cruise? If not, call the casino club and ask if you qualify for any perks based on your play from your previous cruise. Sometimes you can get the "drinks on us" card at the start of your cruise if you have accrued enough points from the previous one. You can also earn a "drinks on us" card by accruing 1500 points on the cruise you are on. This might take 2-3 days though depending on your level of play.

Unfortunately, because you like table games, points don't seem to be tracked as well as if you were on a machine with your card recording your play. My husband and I have the same problem. We have seen some invest small amounts of money and play on the proceeds in slot machines and get the card while we spend much more on the table and don't seem to qualify until 2-3 days in. It doesn't matter though, we don't play for free drinks, or even to win. We play for the entertainment value. Of course it does tend to get more entertaining win you do actually come out ahead, but we never plan on it.

As the above poster said, play nice, tip well and they will pay more attention to you.

Last cruise they were much more free with drinks than I have seen before. 25 a hand seems like the minimum for BJ; couple hundred in action on craps or roulette. Show your card every time to get rated. We always get casino cash and a welcome basket.

I dont tip at a craps table just to drink. I place a small bet for them on occasion and the are happy, fun and make sure I dont make a stupid mistake or forget my odds bet. 1 on the line with 2 behind for the dealer makes it more fun for me and dosnt break the bank.

You want comps...

Introduce yourself to casino staff

Be friendly, respectful and polite (win or lose)

Tip the dealers, tip the wait staff and tip the cage...

The Casino staff have comp discretion so treat them like you want to be treated
