Experience with bringing water on board?

My 14 year old is an athlete and only drinks water. I am getting conflicting info in whether I can bring some bottled water on board? Buying him the fancy water package seemed ridiculous and way over priced he just wants plain bottled water. I can bring a bottle for him to fill but I know he will be out at basketball. So slap a room sticker and hope for the best? Thanks everyone!

Many people bring cases of water aboard, Doing as you suggested, they put a luggage tag on the case of water and it will be delivered to your state room. Many also bring their own refillable mugs and cups. Just remember to not put your own mug under the spigot when you refill it with water. Put water into a clean cup and then transfer into your own cup. I think in your case, a combination of both will work fine.
